Clinton lends cash to her campaign

Hillary Clinton has loaned her presidential campaign 6.4 million dollars (£3.2 million) over the past month, an aide has said.

The money more than doubles Mrs Clinton's personal investment in her bid for the Democratic nomination.

She gave her campaign five million dollars (£2.5 million) earlier this year.

Rival Barack Obama has routinely outspent her in primary after primary.

Mrs Clinton's campaign reported raising 10 million dollars (£5 million) online after her victory in Pennsylvania on April 22.

But Mr Obama has shown little difficulty tapping his vast network of donors.

He spent more than seven million dollars (£3.5 million) on advertising ahead of Tuesday's primaries in North Carolina and Indiana to her nearly four million dollars (£2 million).
