Ambrose plays down injury concerns

England wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose expects to be fit for the first Test against New Zealand despite failing to take the field in the second day of Warwickshire's LV County Championship clash with Derbyshire.

Teenager Richard Johnson stood in for Ambrose, who was off the field with the a neck injury which forced him to bat down the order at the County Ground.

Ambrose said: "Hopefully it will clear up in the next couple of days. The physio knows a lot more about these things than I do and he is confident that will be the case."
